Opens Loafin Joe's Hot Sub In Cityview Center
The
most innovative sandwich source in Texas has settled comfortably
right in our own backyard at Cityview Center. These hot toasted
subs have become habit forming to many devotees at Loafin Joe's
Hot Sub.
James
Petty brought his old-fashioned concept of homemade products such
as bread, chips and sweets with the New York City Arkansas Connection
in November 2000.
Petty,
33, may be one of the youngest Benbrook old-timers in business,
having moved to Mont Del Estates in 1975 when he was seven. He moved
to New York City with his family as a high school senior and soon
began 15 years experience in the restaurant industry. For several
years, he worked in some of the most well known eateries and then
collaborated in a partnership in the Tri Beca section of south Manhattan.
He
returned to Benbrook in 1999 looking for other opportunities and
decided to go into business with his mother, Francey Nichols, who
has lived in Mont Del 27 years. After tasting fabulous hot subs
during a visit with his sister in Arkansas, who owns two of the
Arkansas-based franchises, he decided to open a Loafin Joe's shop.
Petty
chose Cityview Center because of its demographics and convenience
to his home across the highway.
He
works seven days a week on perfecting his product and service offering
32 sandwiches on hot, toasted breads. You can choose fresh deep
fried chips that are salted or ranch flavored, or sweet potato chips
with lemon pepper seasoning.
The
baker is busy daily turning out batches of rye, wheat or white bread,
brownies, oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies.
A variety
of fresh salads such as Dirty Greens, Heart's Desire and Little
Leaf of Italy add a lighter side. Side orders such as Half Bakes
consisting of potato skins, bacon, cheddar and ranch dressing round
out the diverse menu. Nothing prepackaged here!
Visit
Loafin Joe's located by Black Eyed Pea, Outback Steakhouse and Rio
Mambo on Bryant Irvin road and find out why people are telling Petty
that his restaurant offers the best hot sub.
